Pedestrian Barriers and Low Level Knee Rails
In the 1930 Steelway was the pioneers of the first pedestrian barriers. Over the years designs have changed to suit the growing population and safety needs. The Steelway range of barrier fencing systems are classic styles, widely used for various applications. Below are some of our barrier fencing range and Knee Rail options, we also manufacture bespoke products to customer requirements.
Our Barrier and Knee Rail Options
Steelway Britannia Barrier fencing is manufactured with 12mm diameter infill bars with a 50 x 30mm frame. Available in 1.0m and 1.2m high it can be raked or radiused to suit your site with matching single, double and dual use gates.
Steelway Retford Barrier fencing is a simple yet functional one rail demarcation fencing barrier. Manufactured in standard heights of 1.0m and 1.2m high.
Steelway Oxley Barrier fencing is a two rail barrier fence designed for public footpaths. Manufactured in standard heights of 1.0m and 1.2m high.
Steelway Regis Knee Rail fencing is based on a traditional style used in Royal Parks which has an elegant style. This product requires on site welding. Manufactured in a standard height of 450mm.

- Galvanized to BS EN ISO 1461:2009.
- Optional powder coating to BS EN 13438:2005, using non-toxic powder.
- Secured with tamper resistant fittings as standard to minimise theft.
- Hand fettled to remove any galvanizing sharps.
- Site surveys are available on request.
