PG1 Pedestrian Guardrail
Our PG1 Pedestrian Guardrail is engineered for providing a durable barrier for pedestrian areas. Durable and robust, it provides reliable pedestrian protection while clearly defining walkways in urban and public spaces.
The PG1 style features full-height vertical solid round bar infills running continuously from the top to the bottom of the horizontal frame. This traditional design provides excellent through-visibility for both pedestrians and drivers, making it an essential safety asset for busy roadsides, school zones, car parks and high-traffic public boundaries.

PG2 Pedestrian Guardrail
Expanding on the foundational safety principles of the PG1 system, the PG2 Pedestrian Guardrail is specifically engineered for high-traffic environments where enhanced motorist visibility is critical. Just like its predecessor, it serves as a durable, robust barrier that clearly defines public walkways. However, the PG2 model is distinguished by an integrated horizontal visibility gap, often referred to as a "letterbox" sight strip, running along the top of the frame.
This 200mm deep open sight panel reduces visual obstruction for drivers. It crucially improves the visibility of small children, oncoming pedestrians and low-profile hazards near busy junctions, crossings, and school entrances.

- Visibility Gap (Sight Strip): Features a 200mm deep open sight panel at the top of the frame to give motorists an unobstructed line of sight, drastically reducing blind spots.
- Infill Architecture: Fitted with 12mm diameter solid round bar vertical pales set at standard 110mm (or 108mm) centres to prevent climbing while ensuring continuous security.
- Heavy-Duty Framing: Fabricated with a robust 50 x 30mm Rectangular Hollow Section (RHS) frame for high impact resistance against vehicular collisions.
- Dimensional Varieties: Supplied in standard 2.0m panel widths (with 1.0m and 0.5m options available) and an installed nominal height of 1.05m.
- British Standard Compliance: Fully manufactured in accordance with BS 7818:1995 (Specification for pedestrian restraint systems in metal), meeting strict highway and local authority safety requirements.

- Flexible Installation: Employs an anti-tamper bolt-through connection system that permits the panels to "step" organically with changing ground topography without sacrificing perimeter strength.
- Permanent Fixing Options: Offered in standard root-fixed (dig-in) format for concreting 400mm into the ground, or surface-mounted with heavy-duty base plates.
Staggered Options:
staggered guardrails feature bespoke options to suit specific requirements, with infill bars arranged to improve visibility for drivers. By offsetting the vertical bars between the front and back of the panel, this design creates an alternating pattern when viewed head-on. This heavy-duty steel configuration eliminates the "blind wall" effect common at angled approaches, ensuring motorists maintain clear sight lines to spot pedestrians near junctions and crossings while providing a highly durable, weather-resistant barrier.
